Details
Join a great team in a nurse-led clinic located in a regional city, in southeastern corner of South Australia. This opportunity is in a Prison setting working with a team of other nurses, medical administration staff & the part time GP.
About the role:
- Undertake clinical assessments on prisoners which could include taking blood, checking blood pressure, temperature checks, dipstick tests, checking bowel sounds, urinalysis, and more.
- Issue medication like insulin & methadone
- Provide wound care & assist with work injuries.
- Receive and provide support from our onsite GP.
- Assist with unexpected events, such as reported chest pain.
Essential Criteria:
- A completed Bachelor of Nursing
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency
- Holder of professional indemnity insurance
- Holder of first aid & CPR
