We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Midwife to join our Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) Outreach team, working with women and families in rural and remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The Position
As a Clinical Midwife in the MGP Outreach team, you will:
- Provide continuity of antenatal and postnatal care to women in remote communities
- Work in close partnership with First Nations women and families, ensuring culturally safe and woman-centred care
- Operate at an advanced clinical level within a small, supportive team
- Travel regularly from your base to outreach locations via scheduled FIFO arrangements
- Contribute to service delivery improvements and community health outcomes

About you
- Registered with AHPRA as a Midwife
- Tertiary midwifery qualification (postgraduate qualification highly desirable)
- Experience working in a continuity of care model or outreach setting
- Demonstrated ability to engage respectfully with First Nations peoples and communities
- Comfortable with regular travel and FIFO work
- Hold a C Class Driver’s Licence
- This is a VPD risk role and compliance with vaccination requirements will be required. Pre-employment checks, including criminal history screening, will apply.
