Seeking experienced RANs for short term contracts in Far North Queensland!
Dates: 1st July for 6 weeks
About the Role
We require nurses with rural and remote experience, including telehealth and emergency experience.
You will be working across both the General Ward and Emergency/Outpatients Department, with responsibilities including:
Triage (Registered Nurse)
Being "in charge" on shift (Registered Nurse)
Occasional on-call duties (Registered Nurse)
You will be supporting a rural and remote community, providing exceptional clinical care across emergency/ acute care - telehealth and emergency experience is essential for this role.
Essential Criteria
AHPRA Registration
Rural Area Nursing experience(minimum 5 years)
Criminal History Check
Basic Life Support (BLS) competency
Advanced Life Support (ALS) competency (if required for the location)
Emergency Triage Education Kit (ETEK) (if required for the location)
Manual & patient handling
Infection control
Aggressive behaviour management
Mandatory reporting for Registered Nurses & Midwives (child abuse/neglect)
Medication management (Drugs & Poisons Regulations) (not applicable to AINs)
Aged Care Act and Elder Abuse responsibilities (where applicable)
Proof of vaccines/immunity as per QLD Health
