The Position
As a Registered Midwife, you will play a key role in
- Providing high-quality, women-centred care across a wide range of maternity services
- Your responsibilities will include antenatal care, birthing support, postnatal services, and working closely with a collaborative, skilled team of health professionals.
Health Service
The North West Maternity Services (NWMS) is part of the North West Regional Hospital and includes services across Mersey Community Hospital, King Island District Hospital, Smithton District Hospital, and West Coast District Hospital. The service provides a comprehensive range of maternity care, from antenatal and postnatal services to birthing and special care nursery facilities.

Essential Criteria
- Registered as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Minimum 12 months' midwifery experience
- Strong commitment to women-centred care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
